Pixel Phones Get Enhanced Motion Assist with Google’s Latest Update

Motion Assist: Revolutionizing Reading in Motion

Innovative technology has now made it possible for individuals who struggle to read while in a moving vehicle due to motion sickness. This groundbreaking technology displays dots on your phone’s screen that move in sync with the vehicle’s movements, such as turns, brakes, accelerations, and decelerations. Recent reports from Android Authority have shed light on the availability of Motion Assist, albeit for a limited number of users. While the feature is not yet widely released, some users have reported its presence on devices like the Pixel 11 Pro XL. Interestingly, even devices running on Android 17, such as the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, may not have access to this feature.

Upon testing the Google Pixel 11 Pro and the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Motion Assist was not found on either device. This suggests that Google may be rolling out the feature gradually, requiring users to exercise patience.

How to Verify Motion Assist Availability

To determine if your Pixel device has access to Motion Assist, navigate to Settings > ID > All services. Scroll down to Personal & device safety and locate the Motion Assist option.

For iPhone users interested in activating Apple’s version of this feature, you can find it under Accessibility > Motion > Vehicle Motion Cues.
