Up in Smoke: The Troublesome $5 Million Ferrari Enzo
Viral Videos of Ferrari Enzo Engine Trouble
Recent viral videos circulating on social media showcase a Ferrari Enzo experiencing engine trouble, with smoke billowing from its engine bay. These clips capture the dramatic moment when the $5 million supercar encountered a major setback.
The footage reveals a red Enzo exiting a parking lot and as it maneuvers around a corner, smoke emerges from various vents. While the exact cause remains uncertain, speculation points towards a potential issue with the clutch. It seems that the clutch may have failed to withstand the slow, gradual movement, leading to overheating and eventual malfunction.
The Ferrari Enzo’s Transmission System
The Ferrari Enzo is equipped with a single-clutch automated manual transmission featuring an electro-hydraulic clutch system. The 6-speed “F1 gearbox” can be controlled using paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. However, the Enzo’s clutch is known to be susceptible to slippage, resulting in abnormal wear. A telltale sign of clutch slippage is the presence of a distinct burning smell.
