Playground Games has recently announced the PC requirements for the highly anticipated Fable game, set to launch on February 23, 2027. The specifications for the minimum, medium, and high-end expectations have been unveiled, offering PC gamers a glimpse into what they’ll need to run the game smoothly.

The minimum system requirements include a Ryzen 2600 or Intel i7 6850K CPU, along with a GeForce RTX 2060 or 5050, a Radeon RX 6600, or Intel A580 GPU to achieve 1080p30 performance. Moving on to the Recommended specifications, players will need a Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent Intel processor, paired with a GeForce RTX 5060 or 3060 Ti, or a Radeon RX 9060 XT or 6700 XT.

These requirements align with the need for the game to perform well on consoles like the Xbox Series S, with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 as the primary visual targets. Higher-end PCs will be able to take advantage of additional effects, pushing the visuals even further. Notably, the minimum CPU requirements for Fable are a generation newer than those for Forza Horizon 6, showcasing the advancements in technology.

The Medium system spec, equivalent to the current-gen consoles, offers two resolution and frame rate options: 1440p at 30fps or 1200p at 60fps. This suggests that a 60fps performance mode could be a possibility for Xbox and PlayStation players, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

The game engine powering Fable is based on ForzaTech, tailored to suit Playground Games’ vision for the Fable world. Gameplay demos have highlighted the stunning visuals of Bowerstone, the capital of the Fable universe, teeming with intricately designed characters, buildings, and environments. The combat system has also been showcased, featuring battles against undead wraiths in mines and marshes.
