The New Huawei Watch 6: A Detailed Overview

Huawei has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Watch 6, which is available in two models and four different sizes. The regular Watch 6 comes in 42- and 46mm sizes, while the Watch 6 Pro is available in 43- and 46mm sizes. Both models feature a new ‘Arcglow Design’ and come with a new EasyCross Strap for a comfortable and breathable fit.

The materials used in the construction of the Watch 6 vary between the regular model and the smaller 43mm Pro model. The regular model features a stainless steel case, while the 43mm Pro model comes in an all-new Ceramic Edition. This Ceramic Edition is the first all-ceramic wearable from Huawei and includes 18K gold accents for a touch of luxury.

In terms of software, the Huawei Watch 6 sets itself apart by running HarmonyOS, Huawei’s proprietary software, instead of Wear OS like its competitors. Despite this difference, Huawei promises that the Watch 6 is loaded with features to enhance the user experience.

One standout feature of the Watch 6 is the X-Tap function, which provides a quick overview of the user’s health status by displaying 11 different metrics across four categories: basic, endocrine, cardiovascular, and respiratory health.

Similar to the Pixel Watch 5, the Huawei Watch 6 introduces a new wrist rotation gesture for easier one-handed navigation in daily use. Additionally, the Watch 6 boasts over 100 workout modes and incorporates AI technology for enhanced functionality.

The Watch 6 also includes AI-driven workout analysis, a feature that is expected to offer similar benefits to Google’s Health Coach found on their smartwatches.
