The 2027 BMW M350: A Sneak Peek at BMW’s Latest Offering

In a surprising turn of events, a Reddit user in Munich managed to capture exclusive photos of a production-ready 3 Series prototype, revealing a tell-tale sign of what could potentially be the highly anticipated 2027 BMW M350. The key giveaway? A rear bumper featuring four exhaust tips, a signature feature reserved for BMW’s M Performance models and full M cars.

The strategic use of quad exhaust tips has become a hallmark of BMW’s high-performance lineup in recent years. The absence of this feature on the M340i’s dual round pipes in the G50 model further solidifies the speculation that the captured prototype is indeed the successor to the M340i, sans the “i” suffix.

Exclusive Driving Impressions: What to Expect from the M350

Despite the official reveal being yet to come, a select group of journalists had the privilege of test-driving the M350 xDrive at BMW’s Miramas proving ground in France. The vehicle, equipped with a B58 inline-six engine integrated with 48V mild hybrid technology, promises an impressive output of 437 hp in the US and 443 PS in Europe, accompanied by 580 Nm of torque.

The hybrid system plays a crucial role in enhancing performance, delivering an additional 40 Nm of torque before the turbo kicks in. Paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and xDrive, the M350 boasts a quick acceleration time of 4.1 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h).

Noteworthy features of the M350 include standard Adaptive M suspension, 20-inch wheels with larger tires, a rear differential lock, M Sport brakes, and aerodynamic enhancements like a Gurney flap and a deep rear diffuser, as observed in the leaked spy photos.
