Xbox to Introduce Mythic Achievements, Equivalent to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophies

Xbox is gearing up to unveil its own version of PlayStation’s platinum trophies, known as Mythic Achievements. A recent update to the Xbox PC app has hinted at the introduction of these special achievements, which will be unlocked when a player completes all the Achievements in a game.

Exciting Features of Mythic Achievements

Mythic Achievements will make a grand entrance on the screen accompanied by a unique unlock sound, adding to the player’s sense of accomplishment. Players will also have the convenience of tracking these special achievements through the Xbox dashboard and showcasing their Mythic count on their profiles. Early glimpses of Mythic Achievements have already been spotted by Xbox Insider testers in preliminary versions of the Xbox dashboard.

Anticipated Announcement of Mythic Achievements

Xbox fans can look forward to the official unveiling of Mythic Achievements later this year, as hinted by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. Although Microsoft has not formally announced the introduction of these special achievements, their appearance in the early stages of Xbox software development suggests an imminent official announcement.

Mythic Achievements Debut Amid Xbox Restructuring

Interestingly, Mythic Achievements made their first appearance in the Xbox PC app on the same day Microsoft made significant organizational changes, including the layoff of 268 Xbox staffers and the potential closure of Ninja Theory. Additionally, popular titles like Halo, Sea of Thieves, and Age of Empires are reportedly being transitioned to Activision.
