Samsung’s Lucky Escape: How the Delayed Googlebook Saved the Day
Notably absent from the initial lineup of Googlebook partners were Acer, Asus, HP, Dell, and Lenovo. The absence of Samsung, a major player in the tech industry, raised questions among consumers and tech enthusiasts.
Samsung, a key collaborator with Google on various projects such as chipset components, Wear OS, and AI features, was noticeably missing from the list of partners. Speculations arose about a possible rift between the two tech giants.
Despite initial doubts, Samsung’s decision to delay the launch of its anticipated Googlebook seems to be justified as time goes by.
Better late than never
The delay in Samsung’s Googlebook release can be attributed to practical reasons. Initially, Googlebooks did not support Samsung Galaxy phones, creating compatibility issues for users.
Surprisingly, the operating system designed to seamlessly integrate with smartphones did not include support for the leading Android phone brand. Fortunately, this issue has been resolved, allowing Samsung phones to now enjoy full compatibility with Googlebook integration features under the ‘Better Together’ umbrella.
