Enhanced Shopping Experience: How Amazon’s AI Devices Can Help You Discover New Products
Amazon’s AI Wearables Startup Bee Introduces New Features and Devices
Bee, the AI wearables startup acquired by Amazon, has unveiled new features that transform everyday conversations into shopping suggestions on Amazon.com. This innovative update aims to help users remember and purchase essential items mentioned in their discussions.
Unlike the common suspicion of phones secretly listening to conversations, Bee’s approach is transparent and voluntary. Users have the option to opt-in to the feature by connecting their Bee accounts to Amazon.com, with the assurance that data will not be shared without consent.
To access the Amazon.com integration, users need Bee Pro, a subscription service priced at $12 per month. This subscription also includes unlimited conversation summaries and the ability to interact with Alexa+ regarding captured information.
New Hardware Offerings
Amazon’s announcement includes the launch of the first new Bee devices post-acquisition: Bee Frontier, a versatile wristband priced at $74.99, and Bee Eclipse, a magnetic attachment for phones starting at $99.99.

Bee Frontier, currently available, boasts dual microphones, up to seven days of battery life, and IP67 water resistance. On the other hand, Bee Eclipse, with a credit card-sized design, offers over 21 days of usage on a single charge and is set to launch soon.
Bee devices enable users to focus on conversations without the need for note-taking, converting discussions into summaries, tasks, and reminders. These summaries can be accessed through the Bee mobile app or a newly introduced desktop app.
Enhanced Features and Integrations
Bee seamlessly integrates with popular apps like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook, providing post-meeting action items, follow-up emails, and calendar invites based on conversations. Additional features, including the desktop app and third-party connections, are available with Bee Pro.
Privacy is a top priority for Bee, operating on a secure system known as Bee Private Compute. This system processes conversations in an isolated environment, ensuring that user data remains inaccessible to Amazon or any third parties. Audio recordings are deleted after processing, and transcripts are encrypted with user-controlled keys.
Amazon’s Acquisition and Future Plans
Amazon’s acquisition of Bee in July 2025 marked a strategic move to leverage Bee’s technology within its ecosystem. The recent update aligns Bee with Amazon’s core businesses, offering seamless product recommendations on Amazon.com and integration with Alexa+ for voice-assisted interactions.
While Bee competes with other AI-focused startups like Plaud, Omi, and Friend, it sets itself apart with dedicated hardware devices and a comprehensive suite of features. Amazon’s commitment to AI innovation is evident through Bee’s evolution and integration within its services.
As the tech industry continues to explore AI-driven solutions, Amazon’s strategic investments in Bee highlight the importance of personalized experiences and seamless interactions for users across various platforms.
