New One UI 9 Update Rolling Out to Samsung Flagship Phones

Samsung has started rolling out the latest One UI 9 update to its flagship phones, including the full Galaxy S23 and S24 series, as well as the Z Fold 5/Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 6/Z Flip 6 lineups. This means that all flagship Galaxy phones launched since the beginning of 2023 will now receive Samsung’s latest major software update.

The rollout of the update seems to be staggered, with South Korea being the first in line according to reports from SamMobile. However, countries in North America, Europe (including the UK), and India are typically among the early adopters, so users in these regions shouldn’t have to wait much longer.

Enhancements in One UI 9

While all eyes may be on the upcoming Galaxy S27 series, updating to One UI 9 can make your older Galaxy phone feel like a brand new device. The latest update brings a more customizable Quick Panel, improvements to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, a location privacy indicator, and various AI enhancements. One standout feature is Call Brief, which provides details about calls as they occur, offering practical use.

Additionally, My FanCam feature allows users to focus on a subject in a video and reframe the footage around them, making it ideal for capturing memorable moments such as a child’s school play.
