Samsung SmartThings Update Introduces Siri Shortcuts Support

Samsung has recently rolled out a new update for its SmartThings platform, now allowing users to utilize Siri Shortcuts for enhanced smart home control. This latest feature enables seamless integration between Samsung SmartThings and Apple’s voice assistant, Siri.

Understanding Siri Shortcuts in iOS

Siri Shortcuts, a prominent feature in iOS, empowers users to automate tasks by simply interacting with Siri. These shortcuts can be either user-created through the Shortcuts app or integrated by manufacturers within their respective applications.

Effortless Smart Home Control with Siri

With the latest SmartThings update, managing your SmartThings-connected home using Siri on your iPhone, HomePod, or other Apple devices has never been easier. For instance, Siri can now execute your personalized “Good morning” routine through SmartThings, adjusting lights, activating your coffee maker, and opening blinds as you awaken.

Enhancements for Apple Device Users

In addition to Siri Shortcuts support, Samsung has enhanced its SmartThings app for Apple devices. Apple Watch users can now access a comprehensive list of their devices, send commands, and execute routines directly from their wrist. Meanwhile, the iOS SmartThings app offers the convenience of viewing and controlling up to five recently used devices from the lock screen through Live Activities.
