Revamped 2026 Chevrolet Corvette: Expect Significant Price Increases

GM Australia and New Zealand have recently unveiled the pricing and specifications for the upgraded 2026 Chevrolet Corvette range that was initially introduced in May. Unfortunately, the prices have seen an increase.

The entry-level model in the MY26 Corvette lineup, the Stingray 2LT Coupe, now starts at $193,990 plus on-road costs and delivery fees, marking a $11,990 hike from its previous price of $182,000. The 3LT Coupe is now priced at $222,990, representing a substantial increase of $25,990.

Moving up the range, the more premium 3LT Convertible now costs $232,990 plus on-road costs, up by $18,490. The electrified E-Ray model is now priced at $292,990, which is $17,990 more than before.

The base-level 2LT Convertible has been discontinued, with no news yet on an updated MY26 Corvette ZO6. The high-performance ZR1 and ZR1X models, designed for left-hand drive only, remain inaccessible to Australian consumers.

However, a new addition to the lineup is the Stingray R Launch Edition, set to arrive in January 2026, priced at $235,000 before on-road costs. Only 50 units will be available for Australia and New Zealand.

The MY26 Corvette boasts a revamped interior with a new three-screen layout that includes a 12.7-inch central multimedia touchscreen, a larger 14-inch digital instrument cluster, and a dedicated 6.6-inch auxiliary screen for enhanced functionality.

Other updates include a new Drive Mode selector, illuminated volume controller, repositioned climate controls, updated cupholders with ambient lighting, and an enhanced Performance Data Recorder with new features like side-by-side video analysis and ‘speed tips’ coaching.

The Corvette range retains its powertrains for 2026, with the Stingray featuring a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre LT2 V8 engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Z51 Performance Package comes standard, offering a range of performance-enhancing features.

The Corvette E-Ray model combines the LT2 V8 engine with a front-mounted electric motor and all-wheel drive for increased power output.

Safety features across the Corvette range include Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and more.

The MY26 Corvette will be the first model from General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) to include Chevrolet Connected Services with over-the-air software updates, providing Google Maps integration, Google Assistant functionality, and access to the Google Play Store.

Deliveries of the current C8 Corvette commenced in 2022, with the E-Ray and Z06 models joining the lineup in 2024. GMSV has seen a steady increase in Corvette deliveries over the years.
