Amazon Introduces Spoiler-Free AI Feature in Kindle App
Amazon has recently unveiled a groundbreaking AI feature in its Kindle app that offers users spoiler-free answers to queries related to the book they are currently reading. The company has confirmed that authors do not have the option to opt out of this feature.
Ask this Book: Your Expert Reading Assistant
Termed as “Ask this Book,” this feature is described as an expert reading assistant by Amazon. It is designed to provide answers to questions about plot details, character relationships, and thematic elements without revealing any spoilers. The responses are limited to the content you have read so far, ensuring an engaging reading experience. Users can access this in-book chatbot from the book menu or by selecting a specific passage they wish to inquire about.
Non-Shareable and Exclusive to Readers
According to Amazon spokesperson Ale Iraheta, the answers provided by Ask this Book are non-shareable and non-copyable. This feature is accessible only to readers who have purchased or rented the respective books. Iraheta emphasized that the functionality is always active, with no provision for authors or publishers to exclude their titles from this service.
