The Czinger 21C Breaks Lap Record at Laguna Seca, Outperforming Koenigsegg

In a thrilling turn of events, the Czinger 21C has once again made headlines by setting a new lap record at Laguna Seca, surpassing the previous record held by Koenigsegg.

The Czinger 21C managed to beat the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear’s lap time from last month, completing the racetrack in an impressive 1 minute and 22.30 seconds, compared to Koenigsegg’s 1 minute and 24.16 second lap time.

Powering the 21C is a potent mid-mounted 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, combined with an 800 V electric drive system. The electric motor propels the front wheels, while the petrol engine drives the rear axle, resulting in a remarkable combined output of 1350 horsepower.

On the other hand, the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear boasts a twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers an impressive 1625 horsepower on E85 fuel. Weighing 35 kg less than the standard Jesko, the Sadair’s Spear achieves a power-to-weight ratio exceeding 1:1.

With this new record set by the Czinger 21C, the pressure is now on Koenigsegg to reclaim their title. It’s only a matter of time before we see these two automotive powerhouses go head to head once again at Laguna Seca.
