Xiaomi 17 Ultra Receives FCC and IMEI Approval
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been spotted on important US certification bodies, hinting at a broader release in the near future.
This signifies the official global launch of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. While it’s not groundbreaking news – previous flagship devices from Xiaomi usually have wide availability – in the ever-changing smartphone industry, assumptions can be risky.
The upcoming Ultra phone from Xiaomi has made an appearance on both the FCC and IMEI databases under the code number 2512BPNDAG. The presence of ‘G’ at the end confirms that this is an international model.
This is evident from the regulatory bodies involved. The FCC, which stands for the Federal Communications Commission, is the US agency responsible for telecommunications regulation.
Although an American entity, the presence of an FCC E-label indicates that the phone will also reach European markets.
On the other hand, IMEI refers to the International Mobile Equipment Identity – a globally recognized system of unique identity codes assigned to each mobile phone.
