Microsoft Bans Jeffrey Epstein from Xbox Live

In a surprising move, Microsoft reportedly banned Jeffrey Epstein from its online gaming platform, Xbox Live. According to XboxEra, emails from December 2013 reveal that Epstein was “permanently suspended due to harassment, threats, and/or abuse of other players.”

However, it seems that the real reason behind the ban was more straightforward. Another email sent to Epstein on the same day stated that he was banned because he was a registered sex offender, and Microsoft was part of a group of companies that agreed to remove registered sex offenders from their platforms.

It remains unclear whether Epstein himself played Xbox games. In one email from July 2014, he inquired about the availability of an Xbox 360 Kinect. Additionally, a 2016 email discussed the possibility of purchasing an Xbox as a surprise birthday gift for a child. In 2019, there was a message questioning a $25.24 charge on Xbox.
