Mimir Secures €518.3k Pre-Seed Funding to Revolutionize E-commerce Operations with AI
Mimir, a promising startup based in Oslo, has successfully closed a pre-Seed round amounting to €518.3k ($600k) to further develop its innovative AI technology tailored for automating e-commerce operations.
The funding round was led by Sondo Capital, a reputable venture capital firm from Oslo, with support from a group of seasoned angel investors hailing from the Nordic tech and e-commerce sectors. Notable investors include individuals associated with VILLOID, Kry, Enode, Whitson, and other prominent brands.
“Our goal goes beyond traditional customer support. We aim to streamline the operational processes that often hinder e-commerce teams, while delivering personalized assistance to consumers round the clock. This recent funding injection will enable us to expedite product development, expand our team, and provide cost-saving solutions for e-commerce brands,” shared Jørgen Vartdal Halse, the CEO and co-founder of Mimir.
Established in 2024 by Jørgen Vartdal Halse, Jens Kristoffersen, and Øyvind Monsen, Mimir initially focused on developing an AI-driven customer support platform exclusively designed for B2C e-commerce enterprises. Presently, the platform manages roughly 250,000 customer interactions monthly for approximately 60 brands spanning across 5 countries, offering its services to companies like VILLOID, HiFi Klubben, and Holzweiler.
Rather than merely incorporating AI into existing systems, Mimir prides itself on being a fully AI-native operations platform tailored specifically for B2C e-commerce. The company boasts the capability to comprehend orders, deliveries, returns, and products, handle tasks end-to-end, and seamlessly integrate with the brand’s existing systems and workflows.
According to Mimir, its platform empowers e-commerce businesses to deliver immediate, top-notch customer interactions 24/7, while reducing operational costs and saving valuable time.
“We firmly believe that AI will revolutionize customer service and e-commerce operations as we currently know them. The Mimir team embodies the perfect blend of technical expertise and a compelling product that resonates in a rapidly growing market,” expressed Henrik Hatlebrekke, General Partner and co-founder at Sondo Capital.
Despite experiencing significant growth, with a nearly 7x increase in the past year and achieving profitability without external funding, Mimir made the decision to raise capital due to strong interest from multiple funds and customers.
