Amber Secures €7 Million Series A Funding to Develop Autonomous AI Infrastructure for Businesses
AI Platform amber Secures €7 Million Series A Funding Round
amber, an AI platform based in Aachen, has successfully closed a €7 million Series A funding round. The investment was co-led by Ventech and NRW.Venture, showcasing confidence in the platform’s potential.
The co-founder and CRO of amber, Bastian Maiworm, expressed excitement about the unique approach of the platform. Unlike traditional AI tools, amber aims to proactively support employees by autonomously executing tasks based on organizational knowledge.
Established in 2021 by Maiworm, Philipp Reißel, and Igli Manaj, amber focuses on making internal knowledge easily accessible for companies while ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations. The platform combines search capabilities, generative AI, assistant features, and automation to provide a comprehensive solution.
Many organizations struggle with fragmented data spread across various systems, making it challenging for AI to understand business context accurately. amber addresses this issue by creating a unified understanding of business information through its proprietary AI Data Layer.
Philipp Reißel, co-founder and CEO of amber, emphasized the platform’s commitment to understanding business context and providing accurate answers based on collective knowledge. The goal is to empower businesses across Europe with autonomous AI capabilities.
amber caters to industries such as manufacturing, engineering, IT consulting, and consumer goods, with notable customers including Scheidt & Bachmann, Ritter Sport, and Zentis. The platform’s ability to improve token efficiency and preserve institutional knowledge sets it apart in the AI landscape.
The company plans to use the recent funding to expand its presence in Europe, starting with the Benelux region. Additionally, amber will focus on enhancing its AI data layer, strengthening integrations with business systems, and driving AI adoption among SMEs.
With offices in Aachen, Cologne, and Tirana, amber is poised to further expand its footprint in Europe following successful customer acquisitions in the Benelux region.
