Apple Unveils Exciting Updates with iOS 26.5 Public Beta 2
Apple has recently rolled out the second public beta of iOS 26.5. This release comes on the heels of the developer-focused iOS 26.5 beta 2, which introduced an explainer for Apple Maps ads.
Exploring the Features and Changes in iOS 26.5
Although there are no Gemini-powered AI features in this update, there are several noteworthy changes.
One standout new feature in iOS 26.5 is the addition of “Suggested Places” in Apple Maps search functionality.
Additionally, Apple is continuing its testing of end-to-end encryption for RCS in the beta phase.
In specific regions within Europe, Apple is experimenting with the ability to send Live Activities to third-party accessories.
It’s also possible that iOS 26.5 will support monthly payments for annual subscriptions at a discounted rate with a commitment.
