Apple releases fourth iOS 27.2 developer beta for iPhone [U: Public]

Apple has officially launched the fourth developer beta for iOS 27.2, following the release of iOS 27 to the public. This update skips over iOS 27.1, which was primarily focused on the iPhone Duo.

iOS 27.2 introduces a brand new Health app, among other features. This release will follow the previous iOS 27 launch from September 14, with iOS 27.1 specifically tailored for the iPhone Duo.

Developers can now take full advantage of the iPhone Duo display with the iOS 27.1 SDK. Apple released the Xcode 27.1 beta on September 18, which includes support for the new foldable iPhone.

In addition, the first iOS 27.2 public beta was released last month, bringing several notable changes:

  • The redesigned Health app, initially announced during the iPhone 18 Pro event, is now live in this beta.
  • Dual capture mode is now available for Group FaceTime.
  • Siri AI language support has been expanded to include French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.
  • Apple TV app profiles are now accessible on iPhone.
  • Apple Podcasts have been updated with a "New Episodes" section and color-matched backgrounds on episode lists.
  • Apple Music now uses less color for labels in the app.

Further updates and discoveries from the fourth beta will be covered in a separate roundup. Stay tuned for more iOS 27.2 beta coverage.
