Archimede Secures €1.5 Million in Seed Funding for Remote Infrastructure Monitoring Platform

Archimede, an innovative Italian DeepTech startup, has successfully completed a Seed funding round, raising €1.5 million, exceeding its initial target of €1 million. The funding will be used to enhance its technical and commercial teams, finalize product industrialization, expedite enterprise pilots, and facilitate international expansion.

The funding round was led by Primo Capital SGR, with contributions from CDP Venture Capital, Plug and Play, ELIS through CrossConnect, 40Jemz, and Irritec. This support underscores the potential of Archimede’s modular system for managing and monitoring off-grid critical infrastructure.

Riccardo Puglisi, CEO and co-founder of Archimede, expressed his vision of simplifying the management of remote infrastructure by integrating energy, satellite connectivity, and software control into a unified system. He emphasized the company’s goal of challenging stereotypes about Sicily and showcasing innovation that can originate from the region and expand globally.

Mara Attardi, an Investment professional at Primo Capital, commended Archimede’s technology and its unique approach to addressing challenges in energy, connectivity, and resource access. She highlighted the company’s integrated stack designed to operate at the edge of the connected world, meeting the growing demand for innovative solutions.

Founded in 2024 by Riccardo Puglisi, Alessandro Basile, and Ferdinando Anselmi, Archimede has developed ArchMesh, a versatile plug-and-play kit for managing critical infrastructure in off-grid environments. This solution combines predictive energy management, multi-constellation satellite connectivity, and a low-code software platform to enable seamless control of distributed facilities and assets in areas with limited terrestrial network coverage.

The product aims to transform isolated infrastructure into intelligent and monitorable nodes, enhancing operational resilience in various industries such as agriculture, oil and gas, logistics, public infrastructure, and defense. Archimede’s open-source version will further lower adoption barriers and empower companies, developers, and system integrators to create vertical applications on the platform.

Archimede has already initiated projects with major enterprise operators, including a Proof of Concept (PoC) with Eni Joule for testing ArchMesh in managing industrial assets in connectivity-challenged areas.
