Fuse Energy’s Bold Move: Leveraging NVIDIA GPUs for AI Infrastructure Expansion
Fuse Energy Ventures into AI Infrastructure with Fuse Compute
Fuse Energy, a prominent British energy company, has recently announced its foray into the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure with the introduction of Fuse Compute. This innovative product marks the company’s first step into the commercial AI sector, offering access to cutting-edge NVIDIA GPUs housed in UK data centers powered by Fuse’s energy solutions.
Interested parties can now register their interest and reserve capacity for Fuse Compute, with the initial batch of GPUs expected to be operational by December 2026. The primary goal behind this initiative is to establish a comprehensive AI ecosystem encompassing power supply, real estate, data centers, and AI computing capabilities.
Alan Chang, the CEO and co-founder of Fuse Energy, emphasized the significance of power supply in AI infrastructure, stating, “Power is the biggest hurdle to building AI infrastructure, and it’s the part we already know how to do.” He further added, “Fuse Compute leverages our expertise to support companies shaping the future of intelligence, ensuring that this future is cultivated right here in Britain.”
This strategic move represents a notable shift for an energy company traditionally focused on simplifying gas and electricity management. Since its establishment in 2022, Fuse has successfully raised €178 million ($199 million) in funding.
Steady Growth and Expansion of Fuse Energy
Over the years, Fuse has witnessed significant growth, evolving from serving 50,000 UK households in July 2025 to catering to over 300,000 homes by June 2026. The company reported a substantial increase in annual recurring revenue, reaching €341 million by December 2025.
As Fuse continued to expand its operations, it secured additional funding, including a €25 million Series B extension. Noteworthy funding announcements within the AI infrastructure sector in 2026 totaled approximately €2.4 billion, underscoring the growing demand for advanced computing solutions.
Addressing the UK’s AI Compute Demand
The surge in AI applications has led to a surge in demand for compute power in the UK. To meet this growing need, the UK Government aims to expand the country’s public compute capacity twentyfold by 2030. However, the existing infrastructure faces challenges, with grid connection delays hindering the rapid establishment of new data centers.
Fuse’s expertise in power generation positions it well to address these challenges. With a robust pipeline of power generation projects and data center connections, the company is poised to swiftly deploy high-density AI infrastructure in the UK.
Introducing Fuse Compute: A Game-Changer in AI Infrastructure
Fuse Compute will offer dedicated NVIDIA GPU nodes in UK data centers, ensuring data sovereignty and jurisdiction within the UK. The rollout plan includes the deployment of 128 NVIDIA B300 GPUs in December 2026, followed by additional nodes in subsequent phases.
By keeping compute operations onshore, Fuse aims to provide British AI companies with reliable and secure infrastructure, eliminating the need to depend on overseas resources. This move not only enhances data security but also contributes to the growth of the UK’s AI ecosystem.
Empowering the Future of AI with Fuse Energy
Through its innovative solutions and strategic investments, Fuse Energy is not only revolutionizing the energy sector but also driving advancements in AI infrastructure. The company’s commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and technological innovation positions it as a key player in shaping the future of intelligent computing in the UK and beyond.
