Article Summary

  • Heated rear seats now available in Europe with the Innovation Package.
  • European customers can opt for Agave Green interior for the BMW iX3.
  • New iX3 40 variant introduced with rear-wheel drive and smaller battery.

BMW has introduced exciting new updates for the iX3 in the European market, including the long-awaited addition of heated rear seats. With over 50,000 orders already placed, the demand for this electric SUV is expected to rise even further.

Initially launched on China’s long-wheelbase iX3 (NA6), heated rear seats are now an optional feature for the NA5 model in Europe. The option was first seen in the United States on the NA5 configuration, priced at $500 as a standalone extra. In Europe, customers must first order the Innovation Package before adding heated seats.

In Germany, the heated rear seats come at an additional cost of €400 on top of the €1,900 Innovation Package, which includes advanced features like a 3D head-up display and a Harman Kardon sound system.

Agave Green Interior Option

Aside from heated rear seats, BMW now offers a new Agave Green bi-color interior for the iX3 in Europe. Priced at €300, this option adds a touch of elegance with dark gray accents. The interior also includes anthracite headliner, footwell trim, and aluminum front door sill trim.

The Agave Green interior features Veganza synthetic leather, providing a luxurious feel without using real leather. The update also includes new infotainment system support for the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with Amazon Alexa+ AI.

Alongside the interior changes, BMW introduces fresh Individual colors and 21-inch Jet Black wheels for the iX3 in Europe. The highlight of the update is the launch of the more affordable iX3 40 variant with rear-wheel drive and a smaller battery.

The iX3 is manufactured in Hungary, with the 40 and 50 xDrive versions produced at the Debrecen plant.
