The Blood of Dawnwalker to Receive 60FPS Performance Mode for Consoles

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco have responded to recent concerns by announcing that The Blood of Dawnwalker will be equipped with a 60FPS performance mode for consoles through a day 1 patch.
Previously, the open world action RPG featured a default 30FPS Quality mode and a 40FPS Balanced mode for those with 120Hz capable TVs and screens. Following feedback from the community, Rebel Wolves decided to prioritize the 60FPS mode, which was already in development but not yet fully tested.
In a statement on social media, the studio explained, “On Friday, we provided information on console performance based on what we could confidently deliver at launch. The Performance Mode was already in progress, but undergoing testing. Your feedback prompted us to expedite the testing process, leading to the confirmation of the Performance Mode for Day 1.”
The 60FPS mode will be available for PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. PC users will retain their flexibility, while Xbox Series S may not support this feature.
It is important to note that all graphics modes are described as a “target”, suggesting that the 60FPS Performance mode may exhibit more variability compared to the 30FPS Quality mode.
This console generation has witnessed a growing emphasis on performance among gamers, with the availability of 60FPS modes becoming a significant factor. Developers typically design games with 30FPS in mind to showcase the best graphics, but also aim to scale down visuals to offer higher performance modes.
The Blood of Dawnwalker, developed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, formerly of CD Projekt Red, promises a unique fantasy experience set in a 14th-century world inhabited by vampires.
Having experienced the game firsthand, the author of a preview stated, “In my time with The Blood of Dawnwalker, I only scratched the surface of its potential. The game offers fantastical elements, intriguing creatures, a unique approach to time, and the exciting progression of the protagonist, Coen. I am eager to delve deeper into the world created by Rebel Wolves.”
