AdHoc Studio Releases New Update for DISPATCH Focusing on Censorship Settings

AdHoc Studio has recently rolled out a new update for their superhero comedy game, DISPATCH, with a primary focus on censorship settings. The game, initially launched for the Nintendo Switch, featured covered-up content, while the PC and PS5 versions were uncensored.

The latest update now allows Switch and Switch 2 users to experience the game with partial censorship by default, covering “butts, boobs, and birds (the middle finger),” while PC and PS5 users have the option to enable censorship if desired.

Despite the update, the Switch versions will still have fully censored genitalia, and the audio from Invisigal’s erotic dream sequence will remain muted, as per Nintendo’s requirements.

New Update Details:

The new update, named “HR Violations,” introduces visual filters accessible in the game’s General Settings > Filters menu.

This update primarily impacts Switch players, but Steam and PS5 users also have access to these additional options.

Settings availability varies by region, so players should review the specifics before diving into the game.

Switch and Switch 2:

Coverage Settings (Partial or Full):

  • Partial Coverage (Default): Allows exposure of butts, boobs, and birds, while genitals and explicit audio remain censored.
  • Full Coverage: Completely censors all explicit visual and audio content.

Censorship Styles (Mosaic, Chaotic, or Blackout):

  • Mosaic (Default): Pixelated cover-up.
  • Chaotic: Uses various objects for censorship.
  • Blackout: Traditional full coverage.

Regional Availability:

  • Coverage Settings:

    • North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand: Partial or Full Coverage.
    • Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Southeast Asia: Full Coverage only.

  • Censorship Styles:

    • Multiple regions: Mosaic, Chaotic, or Blackout.
    • Japan: Blackout only.

Steam and PlayStation 5:

Steam and PS5 will maintain uncensored content as the default setting, with the new update available for additional customization options.

Xbox players will have access to these settings upon the game’s summer release.

Default Steam & PS5 Settings:

  • Japan: Full Coverage in Blackout style.
  • All other regions: Uncensored.

How to Access:

  • Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2: Access via the DLC menu in the Nintendo eShop. Options can be found in the Game Menu under General Settings > Filters.
  • Steam & PlayStation 5: Update the game to access new coverage options in the Game Menu under General Settings > Filters.

DISPATCH was initially launched on October 22nd, 2025, for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PS5. Stay tuned for the Xbox release later this summer.
