Enhanced Prime Membership: Unlocking the Power of Alexa Plus
Users Report Automatic Upgrade to Alexa Plus for Prime Members
Recently, members of the r/alexa subreddit have been sharing their experiences of being unexpectedly upgraded to Alexa Plus as part of their Prime memberships. This upgrade seems to have been rolled out without the option to opt-in, although users do have the choice to revert back to the original Alexa.
According to screenshots shared by users, Amazon has informed them that they can return to the original Alexa by simply saying, “Alexa, exit Alexa+,” after their devices have been updated.
Feedback from Reddit users regarding the Alexa Plus update has been mixed. Some users have expressed their preference for the original Alexa, citing reasons such as dissatisfaction with the new voice and attitude of Alexa Plus, as well as longer response times when using the upgraded version. Additionally, users have reported an increase in advertisements related to Alexa Plus, with one user mentioning being bombarded with ads after reverting back to the original Alexa.
