Enhancing Creativity: Why iPhone Duo Needs an Integrated Apple Pencil

Apple’s upcoming iPhone Duo is expected to be a huge success, although its high price may impact its reception. Despite this, I believe that Apple may be missing out on a significant opportunity with this release.

Renowned Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman recently suggested that the iPhone Duo will support the Apple Pencil. While this is a step in the right direction, I can’t help but feel that Apple could have outshined Samsung with a more innovative approach.

Pioneering a New Path

Samsung has been a key player in the foldable smartphone market since its inception. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, the latest iteration of the Fold series, showcases Samsung’s expertise in this area.

However, Samsung has struggled to fully integrate its S Pen stylus system into its devices. While there has been some support for the S Pen over the years, the implementation has been inconsistent.

What Samsung lacks is a deep integration of the stylus system, a feature that has become synonymous with its flagship non-foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

As someone who doesn’t heavily rely on stylus input, I find Samsung’s approach intriguing. I don’t typically use Samsung devices in my daily life, I’m not particularly artistically inclined, and when I need to take notes, I prefer pen and paper.
