Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy VII Revelation Launch Date

Square Enix has revealed that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be released on April 8, 2027. This marks the conclusion of the trilogy and the game will be available on all platforms simultaneously, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.

The recent State of Play stream also featured a gameplay reveal for the upcoming title, showcasing significant enhancements in combat gameplay. Character roles have been expanded to enhance synergies found in the previous installment, Rebirth. Additionally, players can expect new features such as Chocobo-back battling.

Players will have the opportunity to explore a vast open world, including familiar areas from previous games and new locations like Wutai and Rocket Town. Unique gameplay mechanics, such as Yuffie’s grappling gun for rooftop traversal, add depth to the overall experience.

The narrative of Final Fantasy VII Revelation will unfold with a central storyline focusing on escalating tensions between Wutai and Shinra. Players will navigate through the game’s conclusion and encounter various side stories that offer branching paths and character-driven dialogues.

Fans of the Queen’s Blood strategy minigame will also have the chance to engage in new challenges within the game. Red XIII’s involvement in a personalized Queen’s Blood saga introduces exciting gameplay opportunities with characters possessing game-altering abilities.

Pre-orders for Final Fantasy VII Revelation are now available, with a special trilogy edition for dedicated fans. The game has received critical acclaim, with previous installments like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth garnering high praise for their immersive storytelling and gameplay mechanics.
