Introducing the Latest Innovation: Battery Usage Summaries for Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 Users

Google has officially announced the rollout of a new feature, Battery Usage Summaries, in its latest AI Core update. Initially, this feature is available exclusively to Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 users. This update comes separately from the recently revealed September Android Drop, which includes five other new features.

Battery Usage Summaries are designed to simplify the complex data related to your phone’s battery usage into easy-to-understand language. This feature aims to provide users with a clear overview of how their phone consumes battery power.

Understanding Battery Usage Summaries

By navigating to the Battery section in your phone’s Settings menu, you will now encounter a concise summary detailing how your device utilizes its battery power.

The summary includes identification of power-draining apps that may lead to premature battery drainage, prompting users to either charge their phones frequently or seek devices with improved battery life. Additionally, it informs users about their phone usage intensity compared to their usual patterns.

Google emphasizes that the summaries present only the most critical information in a user-friendly manner, avoiding overwhelming details. The focus is on providing a clear and straightforward overview.

For users with newer Google phones, this feature is enabled by default. However, it can be disabled by navigating to Settings > Battery & charging > Battery Usage, clicking on the More button, and selecting Battery Usage Summaries.
