Google Pixel Care+ Launches in the UK: Enhancing Customer Support for Pixel Users

After nearly a year, Google has launched its Pixel Care+ service in the UK.

Pixel Care+ made its debut on 27 August 2025, just a day before the release of the Google Pixel 10 series. Initially available only to US customers, it replaced the company’s Preferred Care and Fi Device Protection services.

The UK is now able to access Pixel Care+, which supersedes the Preferred Care plan and provides additional damage coverage for Pixel devices.

Starting from 9 July, individuals can subscribe to a Pixel Care+ package, ensuring prompt repairs to Google devices with genuine parts and swift replacements when needed, typically shipping the next working day.

Pixel Care+ subscribers can file unlimited damage claims for drops and spills, along with unlimited glass repairs and battery replacements at no extra cost.

The service also covers free mechanical and electrical breakdowns beyond the standard warranty period provided by the manufacturer.

Furthermore, users have the option to include loss and theft coverage, allowing up to three claims per year.

Pixel Care+ UK pricing

Pixel Care+ plans start at £4.99 per month or £99 upfront for two years of basic cover on a Pixel phone. Adding loss and theft coverage increases the price to £6.99/£129. Damage claims have a £59 excess, while loss and theft claims have a £79 excess.

Pixel Watch devices carry the same monthly cost but drop to £89 annually for the basic package and £119 for loss and theft coverage.

Fitbit wearables are also covered in the Pixel Care+ service at a fixed price of £15 for two years of coverage, with a £15 excess fee.

Individuals must add Pixel Care+ coverage within 60 days of purchasing an eligible new device from the Google Store. Third-party sales will be integrated by Google in the near future.

Current Preferred Care customers will be automatically transitioned to the plan at no additional cost.
