Inti Creates has revealed the upcoming release of Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, a comprehensive bundle of all three Azure Striker Gunvolt games for the new Switch 2 console.

Expected to launch later this year, Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will introduce a fresh story mode titled “Azure Striker Gunvolt GX,” scheduled for release on the PC and PS5 platforms as well.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

The Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced comprises the three classic 2D action platformers – “Azure Striker Gunvolt” (2014), “Azure Striker Gunvolt 2” (2016), and “Azure Striker Gunvolt 3” (2022) – bundled together with all previously available DLC content.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition not only brings support for high frame rates and resolutions but also introduces a new story mode known as “Azure Striker Gunvolt GX.” Players will take control of a duo consisting of Gunvolt and Copen, equipped with new weapons and abilities. Additionally, a fresh “Inspiration” system has been incorporated, encouraging players to switch between the two characters strategically to trigger gameplay enhancements and score bonuses.

Anticipated for release in 2026, Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will also feature the Azure Striker Gunvolt GX story DLC for the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of the Trilogy Enhanced.
