Ferrari 12Cilindri VS may get the manual gearbox from 12Cilindri Manuale

Exciting Updates on Ferrari’s 12Cilindri VS

As Ferrari continues testing its upcoming hardcore 12Cilindri, speculations have emerged hinting at the possibility of a manual transmission being included in the model.

The 12Cilindri VS (Versione Speciale) is set to be equipped with the same naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine found in the standard version, but with a slight increase in peak output. The current model boasts 819 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, with expectations of the upgraded version pushing the engine output to approximately 850 hp.

While the performance enhancements are noteworthy, the standout feature of the 12Cilindri VS could potentially be the inclusion of a simulated manual gearbox, inspired by the 12Cilindri Manuale, promising an exhilarating driving experience.

It is important to note that the newly developed transmission is not a traditional manual gearbox. Instead, it utilizes the existing 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which can now be controlled through a 6-speed gated manual setup and a clutch pedal. This innovative system translates the driver’s actions into digital signals to operate the transmission seamlessly.
