Apps everywhere, almost

In the past, using the phone in its closed position would simply display the panel-based interface. However, a new prompt now appears on the screen, suggesting the installation of an app called Good Lock.

After installing Good Lock, users can select which installed apps should also appear on the external screen. A start menu slides in from the bottom, offering the option to choose from a variety of apps for display. Users can customize the layout of the apps on the external screen, opting for either a squarer, full-screen view or portrait mode with cropped sides.

While not all apps handle resizing and running in small formats equally well, users have the flexibility to experiment with most of them. Active apps seamlessly transition to the large screen when the phone is opened, providing a smooth user experience.

Easier to flip open

Samsung has made improvements to the design by rounding off the edges slightly, allowing for easier one-handed operation to flip the phone open. The new design facilitates a smoother user experience without compromising on the aesthetic appeal.

The phone retains familiar features such as One UI with its AI capabilities, Samsung-exclusive apps, the Bixby voice assistant, and various utility apps. While these additional features are beneficial, they may seem overwhelming at times for users who prefer a simpler experience focused on essential tasks.
