Cursor releases iPhone and iPad app following recent acquisition by SpaceX

SpaceX, along with xAI, recently acquired the coding firm Cursor earlier this month. Today, Cursor has made its debut on the App Store with its first iOS app.

The newly released Cursor for iOS was initially introduced as a TestFlight beta version earlier this month. Now, the app is officially available for iPhone and iPad users to download from the App Store.

The App Store listing for Cursor highlights some of the key features of the app, including the ability to launch coding agents from anywhere, track and manage engineering work, review screenshots and videos of changes, annotate images for visual feedback, inspect diffs and merge pull requests, and even have voice conversations with agents to understand unfamiliar codebases faster.

Cursor also announced on its Twitter account that users can stay updated with Live Activities and receive notifications when an agent completes a task or requires input. Users can also review demos and diffs before merging PRs directly from their phones.

In a blog post released today, Cursor delves into more detail about its features and teases what’s in store for the future. The company aims to make the experience of running agents in the cloud seamless with local machine operations. Additionally, they are working on enabling repo-less chats for tasks that do not necessitate codebase context.

To celebrate the release, Cursor is offering a discount of 75% off Composer 2.5 runs in the mobile app until July 5, 2026. Users can download Cursor for iPhone and iPad from the App Store to take advantage of this offer.
