The latest phone from Motorola could potentially be the most remarkable device of the year so far.

An Impressive Battery Capacity

One standout feature is the massive 7100mAh silicon-carbon (Si-C) battery, surpassing competitors like the Galaxy S26 (4300mAh) and Pixel 10 (4970mAh) in the same price range. The upcoming Pixel 11 series doesn’t seem to come close either.

The Edge 70 Max is expected to offer multi-day battery life for most users

Although Motorola hasn’t provided specific battery life estimates, if we look at the Oppo Find X9 Ultra with a 7050mAh Si-C battery, users can likely enjoy multiple days of usage without worrying about running out of battery.

High-Speed Charging

In addition to the large battery capacity, Motorola has incorporated rapid charging capabilities, with a 90W charging speed. The company claims that you can get a day’s worth of power in just six minutes, although the exact percentage this equates to is not specified.

There is a caveat: the six-minute estimate is based on using Motorola’s 90W ‘TurboPower’ charger, which is sold separately. Currently, the compatible 125W charger is not available in the UK, but it can be purchased for £49.99 at the time of writing.

Even if you don’t have the fastest charger, any genuine USB-C fast charger should still efficiently charge the large battery, saving you from spending hours on recharging.
