Explore the Action-Packed Combat in the New Fable Gameplay Trailer

Shortly after unveiling the open world city gameplay walkthrough for Fable, Xbox and Playground Games have now treated fans to a thrilling new trailer that delves deep into the action RPG combat. Join your hero and Humphry as they navigate through treacherous mines and eerie marshes teeming with restless spirits.

In a surprising twist, the latest trailer showcases the game running on ‘Medium’ settings, a departure from the previous ‘Ultra’ graphics preset. Despite the downgrade, the gritty environments of dingy mines and foggy swamps still manage to impress.

Combat takes center stage in this gameplay footage, highlighting Playground Games’ emphasis on fluidity and versatility. Players can seamlessly switch between melee, ranged, and magical abilities, with the male hero wielding a rapid-fire crossbow, a massive sledgehammer, and an array of powerful spells including telekinetic pushes, lightning strikes, and bursts of flame.

The melee combat mechanics feature dodges, parries, and counters, accompanied by stylish character animations that add a touch of finesse to every move. From graceful pirouettes to nimble sidesteps, the combat animations showcase a level of detail rarely seen in action RPGs.

This gameplay sequence follows the hero and Humphry as they embark on a mission to uncover the truth behind the hero’s village turning to stone. Traversing through abandoned mines infested with undead miners and spirits, the duo must confront the Lantern Keeper boss in the fog-shrouded Wraithmarsh before reaching their destination at Underwall.

Unlike the previous trailer, which focused on the world-building elements of Fable such as the bustling city of Bowerstone and the plight of the Heroes Guild, this trailer shines a spotlight on the intense combat encounters that await players.
