In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Xbox console, Microsoft has introduced a special edition Xbox Series X. This unique console pays homage to the original Xbox design, featuring a stunning translucent green color on both the console and controller.

Design Inspired by Original Xbox

Jason Ronald, VP of next generation at Xbox, expressed excitement about the new design, stating, “For the first time, we’re bringing a translucent design to Xbox Series X, drawing inspiration from the original Xbox and OG Green that many players fondly remember.” The Xbox 25th-anniversary console combines the iconic design elements of the past with the power and performance of the modern Xbox Series X, offering 1 TB of storage.

Special Features and Surprises

The special edition console features a green lighting effect on the front X logo when powered on, along with a 25th anniversary logo. Microsoft promises “hidden surprises throughout” as a token of appreciation to the Xbox community.

Controller Details

The accompanying controller maintains the original ABXY colors and includes bumpers that pay tribute to the classic black and white buttons of the original Duke controller. The transparent back case and battery door reveal the iconic Xbox logo, adding a touch of nostalgia to the design.

Availability and Pricing

Both the special edition console and controller are set to be released in November. However, Microsoft has not yet disclosed the exact release date or pricing details, keeping fans eagerly anticipating the launch.
