Exciting News for Xbox Fans: Translucent Green Special Edition Xbox Price Revealed

The highly anticipated translucent green Xbox console now has an official price tag. Fans can start preordering the special edition console on August 27th at 10AM ET / 7AM PT. Microsoft has also announced that select “Xbox’s most dedicated fans” will receive early access preorder emails starting today.

Scheduled to launch on November 13th, the console will come with a matching controller in the nostalgic “OG Green” colorway from the original translucent green Xbox. Each console will include a full-game download of Halo: Campaign Evolved and will be laser-etched and numbered, as revealed during Gamescom. Underneath its special-edition shell, the Xbox Series X offers 1TB of storage.

For those interested, the special-edition controller can also be pre-ordered separately for $79, with a release date set for October 20th.

Introduced at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, the 25th-anniversary console was a highlight. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma surprised attendees at the Xbox FanFest event by announcing that anyone with a “fan” badge in the crowd would receive a free console.

In addition to the console, Microsoft has launched a range of limited-edition accessories in the same “OG Green” theme, including a keyboard, mouse, earbuds, and mobile controllers.
