2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink: Blacked-out SUV priced for Australia

Hyundai Australia is reintroducing the Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink to its lineup, this time with hybrid power, set to hit dealerships this month at a starting price of $92,400 before on-road costs.

The Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink is making a comeback alongside the new second-generation Palisade, which arrived in Australia in late 2025 boasting a longer wheelbase, increased cargo space, and a locally-tuned chassis for Hyundai’s flagship SUV.

Priced significantly higher than its predecessor, the previous-generation model was available with petrol and diesel options at $78,400 and $81,719 before on-road costs, respectively.

The latest Calligraphy Black Ink will join the Palisade Elite, starting at $76,500 before on-road costs, and the Calligraphy, priced from $89,828 before on-road costs.

Distinguishing itself with dark-themed cosmetic enhancements, the Black Ink edition comes with gloss black 21-inch alloy wheels, a black front grille with a satin-black surround, black window surrounds, a satin-black lower bumper garnish, satin-black belt-line trim, and black roof rails.

Exterior color choices are limited to Abyss Black and Creamy White, both excluding the $650 metallic paint charge. Inside, the vehicle features black metallic trim elements, Nappa leather upholstery, and an eight-seat configuration.

For an additional $1000, customers can opt for a seven-seat configuration with second-row captain’s chairs, bringing the total price to $93,400 before on-road costs.

Under the hood, the Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink boasts a dual-motor 245kW/460Nm 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol-electric hybrid system with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Its combined fuel consumption is rated at 6.8L/100km, outperforming the previous diesel and V6 petrol models.

The cabin of the 5065mm-long Palisade is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, satellite navigation, power-adjustable front seats, a 14-speaker sound system, and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet.
