The Expanse: Osiris Reborn – A Sci-Fi Action RPG Set to Launch in Spring 2027

Owlcat Games has announced the upcoming launch of their highly anticipated sci-fi action RPG, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, scheduled for release in spring 2027. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the added bonus of being a day one launch title on Xbox Game Pass.

For eager players who can’t wait until the official release date, a closed beta is set to begin on April 22nd. Those who pre-order the Miller’s Pack or Collector’s Edition will have early access to a full mission starting on the Pinkwater 4 station. This mission will introduce players to key characters like Zafar, who will join their crew, and culminate in intense combat scenarios and the opportunity to become a ship captain.

Known for their successful CRPGs Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Owlcat Games is now venturing into The Expanse universe. The gameplay trailer showcases engaging action sequences reminiscent of Mass Effect, including dialogue interactions and third-person combat.

In The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, players assume the role of a Pinkwater Security mercenary caught up in solar system-wide events parallel to the Rocinante crew’s adventures. Players can choose to align themselves with Earth, Mars, or the Belters, each offering unique combat skills and strategic advantages. Crew members play a crucial role in the story, with individual goals and backstories that unfold as players navigate through the game aboard the Gemini ship.

As players uncover the mysteries of their crew and the expansive universe of The Expanse, new pathways and opportunities for gameplay will emerge, shaping the course of their journey.
