Horizon Hunters Gathering Playtest Announced for May

Horizon Hunters Gathering, the upcoming game from Guerilla Games, is generating buzz among gamers despite its peculiar title. The next playtest for the game has been scheduled to take place from May 22nd to 25th, as announced on the PlayStation Blog.

The playtest, which will be a closed event, will give players a chance to try out new features and characters. The returning hunters, Rem, Sun, and Axle, have all received improvements, and two new characters, Ensa and Shadow, will also be joining the fray.

This playtest will offer a full episode with story elements that play a crucial role in the game’s narrative campaign. Additionally, Machine Incursion mode will now have two new difficulty levels, hard and merciless, while Cauldron Descent will feature even more challenging rooms.

Breakers’ Bounty, a new region in the game, will be available for exploration, offering players a diverse landscape to navigate. The original region, Devil’s Thirst, and the social hub area, the Gathering, will also be accessible during the playtest.

Guerilla Games emphasized that Horizon Hunters Gathering is still in development and that playtesting with small groups allows them to focus on improving the core experience based on player feedback. The developers are committed to incorporating suggestions from players to enhance the game before its wider release.
