The Google Pixel Watch 5 may have been spoiled by… the creator of Borderlands

Could This Be a Sneak Peek at the Google Pixel Watch 5?

A potential early glimpse at the Google Pixel Watch 5 has surfaced in an unconventional manner. Randy Pitchford, best known as the creator of the popular Borderlands game series, recently shared two photos of a watch on X. Pitchford mentioned that his friend discovered the watch while scuba diving near Saint Martin, with the intriguing detail reported first by Kotaku.

According to Pitchford, the watch’s back panel suggests that it belongs to the upcoming Google Pixel 5, which is yet to be officially announced. Despite showing a low battery indication on its display, the watch still managed to showcase the correct time, indicating some remaining power. Following a call for the owner’s identification, Pitchford revealed that the rightful owner has been located, and arrangements are being made for its safe return. As of now, there has been no response from Google regarding this intriguing discovery, as reported by The Verge.

Typically, Google unveils its latest Pixel devices around August each year. This timeline suggests that the mystery of how a yet-to-be-released Pixel Watch 5 ended up underwater may soon be solved, with an official announcement potentially just a few months away.
