Slay the Spire 2 Update Introduces New Cards for Co-Operative Multiplayer

A recent update for Slay the Spire 2 has brought a plethora of powerful new cards designed specifically for co-operative multiplayer gameplay. These new cards cover all five classes in the game, from the mystical Regent to the cunning Silent. The update is now available through the game’s Steam beta branch, featuring a new colorless card, two new Regent cards, and three cards each for the other four classes. Additionally, several existing cards have been reworked, making it an exciting time for players who enjoy teaming up to conquer the Spire.

New Ironclad Cards

Among the new additions are Midnight, a rare attack card that deals massive damage but comes at a high cost to play. Blaze grants strength to a teammate, while Outrage deals damage without consuming energy and adds a copy of itself to everyone’s discard pile. Tank has also been revamped to offer better protection for allies.

Updates for Silent

Silent receives new cards like Blade Symphony, which provides additional shivs to teammates, and Concoct, which inflicts poison on foes. Fade offers temporary dexterity boost, while the rarity of Flanking has been increased.

Regent’s New Cards

Regent introduces Plot, allowing players to draw extra cards, and Constellation, which grants energy, a new card, and block to a teammate.

Necrobinder’s Strategies

Necrobinder’s new cards focus on auxiliary and support tactics, such as applying Doom based on damage inflicted and dealing damage based on cards drawn. Legion of Bone undergoes changes in this update.

Defect’s Enhancements

Defect gains new abilities like Hibernate, One For All, and Imitation Learning, along with adjustments to existing cards like Ignition.

The Ball: A Unique Colorless Card

The update also includes balancing changes for solo play, bug fixes, UI tweaks, and support for transferring saves between modded and unmodded versions. Players can expect these changes to roll out to the main Steam branch soon.
