Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Introduces Exciting Online Multiplayer Features
Bandai Namco has unveiled a captivating new video showcasing the online multiplayer experience that awaits players in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. This video delves into the intricacies of the game’s online hub and introduces two exciting modes: Co-Op Assault and Co-Op Warfare.
In Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, the online mode stands as a distinct entity from the campaign mode. Players will have the opportunity to create their own mercenary pilot, customize pilots, and unlock various items by successfully completing missions. The heart of the online experience lies within an air base acting as a central hub, where up to 100 players can interact, socialize, and embark on missions together. This base includes a training mode for collaborative practice, a virtual arcade featuring classic Bandai Namco games, a jukebox filled with tracks from the Ace Combat series, and a supply store offering in-game items for purchase.
Co-Op Assault presents a thrilling PvE mode where two teams of four players compete to achieve a higher score by eliminating enemy NPCs and fulfilling objectives. On the other hand, Co-Op Warfare pits two teams of four against each other, with NPC fighters adding an extra layer of challenge. As players progress through the online world, they will encounter emergency missions categorized as Scramble and Sortie missions. In Scramble missions, a team of four faces off against an NPC squad, while Sortie missions require eight pilots to collaborate in taking down formidable bosses from the Ace Combat universe. Additionally, limited-time PvP events will introduce 4v4 team deathmatches and eight-player free-for-all battles.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is set to launch on October 2nd for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, promising an immersive online multiplayer experience that will captivate fans of the series.
