macOS 27 is available now

Apple unveiled its latest operating system, macOS 27 Golden Gate, on Monday, introducing a host of new features and enhancements. Among the highlights are the new Siri AI assistant, Liquid Glass improvements, enhanced performance, and more. While the update is compatible with all Macs powered by Apple Silicon, it is not available for Intel-based Macs, as Apple’s final major update for Intel Macs was released last year with macOS Tahoe.

One of the standout features of macOS 27 is the Siri AI assistant, which offers users the ability to ask questions, search personal content such as photos and emails, and perform actions within apps like Messages and Reminders. A new dedicated Siri app has been introduced, allowing users to easily reference past conversations. However, it is important to note that Siri AI will initially be launched as a beta version and will only support the English language.

Apple has also made significant improvements to Liquid Glass in this update, touting “uniform refraction and improved contrast.” Users can now adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass elements with a new slider feature. Additionally, a notable UI change includes consistent window corner radii, enhancing the overall visual experience for users.
