iOS 27 and more: Here are the iPhone software updates coming this year

iOS 27 is rumored to introduce a new feature for the Wallet app, allowing users to convert physical passes into digital ones. According to a report from Bloomberg, the upcoming iOS update will include a “Create a Pass” feature that enables users to generate custom passes based on QR codes.

The “Create a Pass” feature will be accessible via the Wallet app’s menu, where users can add new credit cards. This feature will offer customization options such as templates, colors, images, icons, and more. Users can create a pass from scratch or use the iPhone’s camera to turn a QR code into a digital ticket.

Apple is reportedly testing three template options for the new feature: standard, membership, and event. The standard template is a default option for any type of pass, while the membership template is geared towards gyms, and the event template is designed for tickets to games, movies, and other occasions.

iOS 27 is expected to be announced at WWDC, starting on June 8. What are your thoughts on this new Wallet feature? Share your opinions in the comments below.
