Get Ready for Spooky Season with the Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Demo
Exciting news for fans of the Castlevania series – Konami has recently announced that a demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be released on 1st October. This timing couldn’t be more perfect, as it aligns with the official start of spooky season. The full game is set to launch on 15th October, just a couple of weeks after the demo.
This demo will be available on all launch platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. What’s even better is that save data from the demo will be transferable to the full version of the game, allowing players to seamlessly continue their adventure.
Embark on an Adventure in 1499 Paris
Set in 1499 Paris, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse takes place 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Players will step into the shoes of Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor and Sypha. As chaos descends upon Paris, Rose must uncover the mysteries surrounding a new supernatural threat, eventually leading her to the ominous Dracula’s castle.
A Collaborative Effort for a Thrilling Experience
Original Dead Cells studio Motion Twin is serving in an advisory role for the development of Belmont’s Curse. The main developers, alongside Konami, are the successor studio Evil Empire. Founded in 2019 to continue supporting Dead Cells, Evil Empire gained valuable experience in creating a Castlevania experience through the development of the Return to Castlevania expansion for Dead Cells in 2023. Building on their successful partnership, this collaboration promises an exciting return to the world of Castlevania.

Our team had the opportunity to play Belmont’s Curse at Gamescom and came away impressed. The demo only offered a glimpse of the Arcana system, leaving us eager to explore the potential of more powerful cards. The narrative surrounding Rose’s relationship with Trevor and Sypha intrigued us, hinting at a deeper and more expansive storyline. Belmont’s Curse holds great promise for fans of the Castlevania series, offering a fresh and engaging experience.
