BMW X1 Shines in Exclusive Desert Sand Shade

Standing out in the crowd is the BMW X1 painted in Desert Dune, a color that sets it apart from the usual crossover palette. This high-end xDrive30e model features the M Sport Pro Package and optional 20-inch Individual wheels, but it’s the distinctive body paint that truly catches the eye. While unique, this color choice emphasizes that even the entry-level BMW crossover offers special customization options.

Previously seen on a diesel-powered 7 Series, Desert Sand (S0F) is a beige/cream hue that complements the X1 elegantly. However, it’s not a shade for those seeking subtlety; instead, it ensures the X1 stands out on the road, showcasing its individuality. As part of the Individual color range, Desert Sand comes at a premium price of €3,900 in Germany, making it a luxury choice for those looking to personalize their vehicle.

While showcasing the special X1, BMW is also preparing for the model’s mid-cycle facelift, with a twist. The combustion engine variants, including plug-in hybrids, will receive an LCI in 2027, alongside the arrival of the iX1 next year. The fully electric iX1 will debut as a next-generation model, diverging from the facelift approach seen in the X1 lineup.

As BMW revamps its smallest X model with a Neue Klasse makeover, spy shots hint at a design reminiscent of the iX3, inside and out. Features like iDrive X and Panoramic Vision will elevate the X1’s interior, aligning it with the brand’s SUV range. The upcoming X1 and iX1 models are set to redefine the segment, making the current X1 design appear outdated.

Anticipating potential enhancements in the X1 xDrive30e facelift, customers may see increased electric range beyond the current 55 miles WLTP. With a combined power output of 322 horsepower from a three-cylinder engine and electric motor collaboration, the xDrive30e delivers impressive performance, sprinting to 62 mph in just 5.6 seconds.
