Treyarch to Port Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 to Modern PlayStation Platforms

Exciting news for fans of the iconic Call of Duty franchise as Treyarch has officially announced the upcoming port of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 to modern PlayStation platforms.

The responsibility for the development and release of these PlayStation ports lies with Iron Galaxy Studios, with the anticipated launch scheduled for sometime in July. While the announcement confirmed the arrival of the games on PlayStation consoles, it remains unspecified whether both the PS4 and PS5 will receive the ports.

Originally released in 2010 and 2012 for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, Black Ops and Black Ops 2 have not been playable on the newer PlayStation consoles until now. However, players have been able to enjoy these classics through backwards compatibility on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
