Customize Siri’s Voice: A Look at iOS 27 Beta 3

Exploring the New Siri Customization Options

During the WWDC26 keynote, Apple’s vice president of Siri Engineering, Mike Rockwell, showcased the enhanced Siri experience, highlighting the customization options for voice settings, including expressivity and pace controls.

In the initial iOS 27 beta releases, the Pace and Expressivity sliders within the Settings > Siri > Voice section were inactive. However, with the latest iOS 27 beta 3 update, these controls are now functional, allowing users to choose from five adjustment levels for each available voice.

When users adjust the sliders, Siri immediately plays a continuous audio sample that reflects the changes in real time. Once satisfied with the selected pace and expressivity settings, users can save their preferences by tapping the checkmark icon in the top-right corner.

Apple mentions that these customized voice settings will also apply to Apple Maps and Safari, offering a consistent experience across different applications.
