Not one but two Jaguar Type 01 prototypes spotted testing together

The Jaguar Type 01 Electric Grand Tourer Spotted Testing at Nurburgring

The highly anticipated Jaguar Type 01 electric grand tourer was recently seen undergoing testing at the Nurburgring ahead of its official debut. What makes this sighting particularly intriguing is that not one, but two heavily camouflaged prototypes were spotted together near the renowned German circuit.

Both prototypes were captured on film at the same location, with one approaching an intersection while the other was heading in the opposite direction. This sighting indicates that the development of the Type 01 is progressing rapidly towards its final stages.

Although the exterior of the vehicle remains largely concealed under camouflage, Jaguar has offered a glimpse of the interior. The cabin features a retro design inspired by the 1980s, with “four individual spaces,” two-tone seats, and a two-spoke steering wheel reminiscent of luxury sedans from that era.

Jaguar is set to unveil the Type 01 officially in October. The electric vehicle is anticipated to be powered by a tri-motor electric powertrain that delivers over 1,000 hp and more than 959 lb-ft of torque. It is projected to offer a range of 400 miles from its 120-kWh battery pack.
